For over a decade, we have served the defense, intelligence, and corporate communities, written critical industry books, and presented research and best practices at major cybersecurity conferences.
In the years that followed, Tangible Software established a GSA schedule; developed a custom payments gateway solution; and continued to grow with significant contract awards from the Department of Defense (DoD). Work with the Department of the Navy on a strategic energy management project, CIRCUITS, led to the launching of an Enterprise Services Group to provide enterprise security and data center solutions. The company soon had a strong technology staff focused on delivering large scale, complex enterprise solutions. We secured significant contract awards in the areas of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Identity and Access Management (IAM) design, implementation, and operations.
We developed mission-critical software and integrated systems for the Defense and Intelligence communities that have withstood for years the worst that nation-state hackers could unleash.
In 2012, Tangible made the strategic decision to focus on its cyber security solutions and products based on the capabilities of its personnel, the maturity of its offerings, the strengths of its partnerships, and the growing market need for cyber security products and solutions. This decision coincided with a change in corporate ownership.
Throughout this process, the owners and leaders of Tangible never lost sight of their roots in the U.S. military. They know firsthand the growing importance of information processing and the overwhelming need to protect systems and networks from unwanted intrusion or damage. That experience and early success led the company to hone in on such needs as regulatory compliance, risk management, secure systems development, and independent third-party assessment, continuing that heritage of service.
In 2013, Tangible acquired N2 Net Security, a managed security services provider specializing in penetration testing, secure product development, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) implementation, and Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance. Combined expertise and resources allows delivery of a broader portfolio of cyber security solutions to federal and commercial markets that can better scale to meet growing demand.
Today, Tangible has increased its reach into vital commercial markets such as financial, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and more. They have also expanded such capabilities as security operations; Secure Development Life Cycle (SDLC); and Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) services.
This growth has been further bolstered by the 2014 acquisition of A&N Associates, Inc., a recognized leader in the small business community of acquisition management and information assurance providers to the Department of Defense (DoD). The leadership of A&N has been instrumental in advancing a business-driven and process-oriented approach to the field.
Building on its history, Tangible is now focused on a clear vision of a future as a trusted partner to federal and corporate clients—a future in which the firm will be at the forefront of cyber security innovation, insight, and intelligent growth.
